Our Story
Food has been an integral part of our family for four generations, starting in 1923 when my family began a grocery and pizza business and then in 1973 when my grandfather, Dominick Melicia, ventured into the deli business and opened Dom’s Willow Deli in Little Silver. This was just the beginning of our family’s love affair with creating delicious meals for others.
In 1985 my grandfather opened Dom’s Cherry Street Deli at the intersection of Shrewsbury Avenue and Cherry Street, in Tinton Falls. He and my Uncle ran this beloved establishment for nearly three decades before I took over. So the passion for food and service never left our family.
In 2014, I had the privilege of taking on the role of store manager. With my grandfather’s legacy and entrepreneurial spirit, I run Dom’s Deli with pride and passion. I started as an employee for my grandfather, learning the ins and outs of the business, and eventually taking over the reins as store manager and now owner.
At Dom’s Deli, we’re not just about making delicious food; we’re about building a legacy of creating memorable experiences through our passion for food and exceptional service.
Homemade
We took 30 years of experience on my mother’s side of the family and combined it with old-world Italian cooking for delicious results. The daily specials, made with fresh ingredients and creative ideas, keep customers coming back to try new and inventive food. I also incorporate all types of food, including smoked meats. Dom’s Deli has a reputation for quality food and friendly service, which has helped our business grow organically by word of mouth.
